Throughout my career I have found great satisfaction when working to help my patients regain their center of wellbeing. My mission is to provide exceptional patient care, treatment, and results. My approach is to combine acupuncture and oriental medicine with medical massage therapy to meet my patients goals and needs to return to a centered state of well being. I provide a unique experience incorporating my knowledge in both western neuro anatomy as well as eastern holistic healing into a therapeutic blend that best reflects my patients needs.
I have spent over a decade meeting various state and educational requirements perfecting my knowledge to put into clinical practice. I am a New York State licensed Massage Therapist (#030201), a New York State licensed Acupuncturist (#004995), and a California State licensed acupuncturist (#15834). I hold a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, a Bachelors of Science in Health Science, and a Associates in Occupational Studies in Massage Therapy. To further satisfy state licensure requirements I am Clean Needle Technique certified by Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, have become nationally certified by the National Certification Commision for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Diplomate (#151898), and maintain Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
Acknowledging that an educational degrees and state licenses are just the beginning, I have continued to further enhance my skills and techniques to better treat my patients wide diversity of wants and needs. Musculoskeletal pain is a common chief complaint so I have taken upon myself to study Neurofunctional Acupuncture- Treating Musculoskeletal Pain and Dysfunction with Contemporary Acupuncture. I have combined this with Applied Channel Theory in Chinese Medicine: Classical Channel Palpation and Diagnosis so I can better pinpoint the issue at hand. Knowing also that a lot of issues stem from a psychosomatic origin, Acupuncture for Chemical Dependency and Addictive Disorders is also used to help attain a more congruent peace of both body and mind. I am also excited to diversify my range of techniques by obtaining the Advanced Certificate in Traditional Japanese Acupuncture.
Beyond the years studying massage therapy and oriental medicine, I have found a love for learning and continue to strengthen my education as well as staying relevant. I have deepened my understanding of gross anatomy as well as heightened my massage techniques through Myofascial Strategies. To balance this I have also become more attuned to the subtleties of the bodies rhythms via the Upledger Institute with Craniosacral Therapy. To become more centered and to be more attuned with my patients I have focused on self healing with Qigong Energy Rejuvenation to Increase Healing Power as well as holding space through Clinical Energetics. As not to drift too far into the ethers I also stay grounded and current into the day to day business aspects with Medical Billing: Focus on Ethical Practices.
